It was built by Abdülhamid II for the religious needs of Turks living in Buyukada in the 19th century. It is suitable for western style in terms of mosque decoration, structure and construction technique. The mosque, which has a mansion-like structure rather than an ordinary mosque, has survived as one of the iconic places of Büyükada. The mosque, which has a single architecture and a single honor, gives inspirations to the worshipers with its bright design. The interior decorations, in which blue colors are used by weight, have an eight-pointed star, which is a crescent on each side of the ceiling core.
