Ahmet El Cezeri Tomb - Garden;
There is Şeyh Ahmed El-Cezeri’s tomb at the south of the temple of the Red Madrasah, located in Cizre town of Şırnak Province. The Tomb had been built in XVth century together with the Madrasah. Şeyh Ahmed El-Cezeri was a famous poet, lived between 1404 and1479.
The tomb had been built from cut stone, with square plan in the dimensions of 5.00 m. x 4.93 m. Through the arches, placed to the corners, the tomb had been converted from square plan to octangle. It is possible to pass through Madrasah cells to this tomb. The top of the tomb is covered by a tromped dam.
There are graves of Şeyh Ahmet El Cezeri and his relatives within the tomb.
